Job Description:

Job Announcement: 
The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation seeks a detail oriented team member with excellent data entry, customer service and computer skills. Experience with word processing, database and spreadsheet applications, and basic accounting required. Full time entry level position provides day-to-day processing of inbound mail and assists in the creation of batches for RMEF’s donor/member database and financial systems.

 

Job Summary:
This department is responsible for processing all receipts that come through the mail. This position provides day-to-day processing of inbound mail including ensuring quality control and timely processing.  This position is responsible for assisting in the creation of batches for RMEF’s donor/member database and financial systems, AREV and Oracle, as well as credit card processors and the bank.    

 

Essential Functions: 

1. Process in bound renewals and direct mail responses.  This includes sorting, opening, scanning, and processing mail pieces.  Ensure information is appropriately categorized and uploaded to AREV accurately and timely.  Ensure credit card transactions and deposit output files are accurate and submitted appropriately.

2. Ensure scanning exceptions and transactional exceptions are found and appropriately resolved.

3. Complete Correspondence Classifications in a timely manner. This includes address changes, deceased, cancel/remove information from database, etc.

4. To insure accuracy, perform individual batch tallies weekly.

5. Work with supervisor to follow procedures that ensure data quality related to the membership database.  

6. Assist Distribution Center staff with membership fulfillment when time allows.   Provide support to other departments when processing tasks are complete.  

7. Assist supervisor and IT on the maintenance of the direct mail processing equipment.  

8. Process all other receipts/payments that come through the mail.  Prepare deposit information for entry by Accounting.

9. Ensure proper retention and storage of captured checks, credit card, and personal information, through both paper and digital formats.
